El Croquis 234: Peris+Toral Arquitectes documents the Barcelona studio's sustained investigation into habitation and construction — work that earned them the RIBA International Prize in 2024 and has reshaped how social housing is conceived and built.

About This Book

Founded by Marta Peris and José Toral in 2005, Peris+Toral Arquitectes has built a practice around questions that most studios sidestep: the relationship between cinema and architecture, the nature of contemporary domestic life, low-impact construction systems, and the meaning of comfort. This El Croquis monograph brings their theoretical and built work together in the publication's signature depth. It is essential reading for architects engaged with housing typology, material culture, and the intellectual frameworks that give form genuine purpose. Their work has been exhibited at the Cité de l'Architecture in Paris, the Kunstverein Bielefeld, and the Venice Biennale.

Key Features
