The DUET Porcelain Carafe from an extended conversation between designer and maker: form and function refined through material process and shared intention. The collection examines how objects shape everyday moments—pouring, placing, pausing—and how considered design can transform simple gestures into acts of reflection and care.
The Carafe forms part of a limited edition capsule collection entitled Everyday Rituals made in collaboration with Dutoit Studio and Nattier Ceramics, exhibited at Bookshop by Uro for Melbourne Design Week.
About the designers...
Dutoit is a Melbourne-based design studio creating furniture, lighting and objects shaped by restraint, material clarity and manufacturing intelligence. Designed and made in Australia, the studio works closely with local manufacturers to develop purposeful pieces in which proportion, construction logic and longevity are embedded in the design outcome.
Nattier Ceramics is a Naarm/Melbourne-based ceramics practice designing and crafting original handmade porcelain tableware and lighting. Each work is individually slipcast in high-fire Limoges porcelain. Purpose, material and method provide the foundation of all works, with the delicate yet strong properties of the material and the intricacy of the making process evident in every piece.
