About the Author
Michael Merrill is the author and editor of this volume. Louis Kahn (1901–74) was an Estonian-born American architect based primarily in Philadelphia, who taught at Yale School of Architecture from 1947 to 1957 and subsequently at the University of Pennsylvania until his death.
